「赤いとんぼ」
今回私が描いている絵は女の子が自由に飛んでいる赤いとんぼを見ている風景ですが、
今の私達の周りではどこでもよくあるような景色です。この絵を通じで私が表現したいのは、
平和というものが空気や太陽のように人間にとってなくてはならないようなものであり、
特別な言葉や特別なもので表現することなく、日常生活の中で当たり前で平凡なもので
あってほしいという願いです。
"The Red Dragonfly"
The picture I have made this time is of a girl flying freely in a landscape where we can see
red dragonflies.
This is scenery that we can often see in our present surroundings.
Through my work I want to express the hope that peace is as indispensable for man as air
and the sun, and should be so natural and ordinary in daily life that we don't need a special
word to express it.
